The weather forecast was made yesterday - now here comes Wiz Kid. Elegant design, innovative sensor technology, and the weather forecast presented by Wiz Kid the weatherman - these are just a few of the features of the new radio weather station.
	The attractively designed weather station can be completely set up and ready to use in just minutes. It displays not only the weather data but also calculates the weather forecast for your immediate area and registers wind speeds as well as rainfall. It also provides you with other interesting information, such as the current phase of the moon, sunrise and sunset times, weather trends, room climate and more. To find out quickly what the weather is going to be like, all you have to do is take a look at what kind of clothes Wiz Kid is wearing. Whether swim suit or scarf and umbrella, the Wiz Kid has over 50 variations for dressing appropriately for the weather just outside your door. As soon as it begins to rain and the sensor detects it, the Wiz Kid informs you by appearing with an opened umbrella - you donÍt even have to look outside to know. The large well-organised LCD, super flat and housed in the elegant silver-blue base station, shows you all of the important weather data in graphic and numeric formats when in normal mode. Other functions are easily accessed using only five buttons.
Greatly contributing to the accuracy of the weather data is the new E9301 radio combi-sensor. It is fitted onto a mast that can be placed in the ground and works similarly to professional devices used in industrial applications. For example the outdoor temperature is measured in the same way as professional meteorologists: 6 feet above ground and shielded from sunlight. In addition, the combi-sensor can be set up any place up to a distance of 300 ft. from the base station without having to lay cables or drill holes. Up to 8 additional locations can be used to place the E9305 sensors to measure the temperature and relative humidity and have the data sent wirelessly via radio to the weather station using low disturbance 433 MHz technology.

Rare Earth Magnets

Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. The permanent magnets system are composed of licensed grade 40 neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Rare Earth Magnet Composition Rare earth magnets are magnets composed of alloys of the Lanthanide group of elements. The two Lanthanide elements most prevalent in the production of permanent magnets are Neodymium and Samarium. There are numerous alloy formulations of rare earth magnets covered under many different patents but the most common commercial varieties are Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) and Samarium Cobalt (SmCo). Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets are the most advanced commercialized permanent magnet material available today. Rare earth magnets are available in sintered and bonded forms. Sintered magnets are a type of ceramic composed of the compressed powder of the alloy material being used. Sintering involves the compaction of fine alloy powder in a die and then fusing the powder into a solid material with heat. While the sintered magnets are solid, their physical properties are more similar to a ceramic and are easily broken and chipped. Bonded magnets use a polymer base to hold the alloy powder together. The energy product of bonded magnets is much lower than that of the sintered magnets. Sintered NdFeB magnets are generally plated or coated with a material to prevent corrosion. There are various coatings available. Nickel-Copper-Nickel plating has excellent corrosion resistance and durability as well as providing an clean and shiny appearance. All of our stock rare earth magnets are sintered Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets plated in Nickel-Copper-Nickel. Magnet Grades The grade of a magnet directly refers to the Maximum Energy Product of the material that composes the magnet. It in no way refers to the physical properties of the magnet. Simplistically, grade is generally used to describe how "strong" a permanent magnet material is. The energy product is specified in the units Gauss Oersted. One MGOe is 1,000,000 Gauss Oersted. A grade forty (N40) would have a Maximum Energy Product of 40 MGOe. The higher the grade the “stronger” the magnet.

MAGNETIC STRENGTH and POLARITY METER

Handy low-cost meter measures from < 1 up to 10 gauss for full scale reading. Allows you to check polarity and obtain relative field strength readings. Checks magnetic pulsers, normal fixed magnets, and potential fields in a magnetically active area. Device measures 2-1/4" diameter at outer lip (2" diameter base) x 1-1/8" deep. Weight is 1.4 ounces. Polarity indicator noted on rear of the unit. Center scale calibrated allows you to quickly determine strength and direction of polarity. Does not require batteries and is ready to use.
